Melbourne, FL - John Thomas Hallenbeck age 83, passed away Tuesday evening, February 26. John is survived by wife his Joy Hallenbeck and children Tommy, Chucky, David, Gary, Jeannie, Sharon, Patty, and Karen. He helped in creating an amazingly large family of grandchildren, great-grand children and great-great grand children. Also surviving are siblings Howard, James, Jean and Mary. John is preceded in death by children Debbie, Kevin and Alysse. John was born in 1930 in Syracuse, NY and came to Melbourne in 1964. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked for Admiral Security of Melbourne. At the family's request, no public services will be held. A private Celebrate of Life memorial will be held in his memory. We would like to say a special thank you to all the caring individuals at Hospice VITAS of Brevard and the great staff at Life Care Center of Melbourne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society.
