April 30, 1938 – March 11, 2024
John William Finnegan (Jack) 85, passed away on March 11, 2024 in Melbourne, Florida at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Brenda (Watson) Finnegan. They were married for 8 years.
Born in Grafton, Iowa, he was the son of Archie and Laura (Luense) Finnegan. After high school, John joined the Air Force and served for four years. He then worked at BellSouth, AT&T and Tollgrade, eventually retiring from each company.
Jack attended Church at Viera and was a member of the American Legion Post 163. He was an avid RV'er and traveled to many places. He also enjoyed scroll woodworking.
Jack will be remembered for his beautiful infectious smile and his dry sense of humor. He was kind, loyal, and he was friends with everyone that he met. He loved his two yorkies, Izzy and Boo and especially enjoyed lounging around the house with them.
Jack is survived by his wife, Brenda Finnegan; children: Robyn Fleming (Clark), Jody Finnegan (S.O. Brian Grossman), Tamara Bresnihan, Paul Miller Jr. (S.O Sue Christopher), Thomas Brown (Misty) and Calli Harrington; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; his dogs, Izzy and Boo; and many good friends.
Jack was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Donald Finnegan; and his grandson, Corey Grossman. Also many beloved pets.
