Jody Lew Phillips, 53, loving husband and father, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on Friday, March 30th, 2012. He was a longtime Melbourne resident who, after serving in the U.S. Army worked for the Palm Bay and Jacksonville Police Departments, and most recently with the Department of Homeland Security. He was born in Charleroi, PA on August 8th, 1958 to the late Joseph Pensis and Dorothy Milchovich.

He leaves behind his wife of almost 30 years, Paige Chandler Phillips; two daughters, Lindsey and Courtney; son, Cory; two sisters, Dawn Crooks (Andy) and Sherry Fulmer as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Jody's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home chapel. Immediately after the service there will be a gathering of friends at his sister, Dawn's house.
