Joanne M. Greteman, 81, went to heaven on December 10, 2019, with her family by her side in Melbourne Florida.

She was a great Mother, Grandmother, Sister and friend to many and she will never be forgotten. Please read below some of the memories shared by her daughters and granddaughters.

Joanne found herself as a single parent in her 30's with 3 children and no matter the situation she always found away. This followed her through the rest of her life. Once Joanne had an idea look out! Florida came to mind and she packed up her children and moved to Florida. After a 30-year retail career with Dillard's she was able to fulfill a dream of opening a bridal shop "Love that Bride".

After retirement she enjoyed her Granddaughters, teaching them how to sew, knit and crochet. So many talents to share and memories to be made. Joanne could grow anything, her love for Orchids grew along with her playing in her garden. If you mention a new home project, she was excited, painting walls, updating rooms you name it she was there to help. She loved going to the Flower and Garden show at Epcot, shopping at JoAnne's, Michaels or Hobby Lobby. But the most important thing in her life was her family. She was at every party, school event from Band to football games.

2018 was filled with some wonderful memories for Joanne, she was able to perform and marry two of her Granddaughters. Then in September 2018 we found out that she had a mass in her lung which turned out to be cancer. After 7 weeks of treatment she was found to be in remission. We started 2019 with some happy news… Unfortunately, the recovery months to follow were long and this month we found that the cancer was back. She lost the fight with the monster (cancer).

Our Mother was our best friend, our mentor and the strongest women we know. We cannot image our lives without her, but we told her that we will take care of each other. We have learned our strength from her, and she will never be forgotten.

We will be having a "Celebration of Life" open house on January 18 ^th , 2020 for friends and family to gather and share some wonderful memoires of Joanne.
