On 3:37 p.m. Friday 2/26/2021, Joanette Lä'Shäwne' Hansen has left us on earth to be at rest in Paradise. She is a Christian in the Church of Christ and loved by many. She is survived by her husband James Hansen, their son Adeyinka Hansen, who has a wife, Shontrice and two children, Kaleb Mackie and Adeyemi Hansen; two brothers Fred Howell Jr. and Gary Lee Howell and his wife Reginah.
Joanette was born in Schweinfurt, a town in the district of Lower Franconia in Bavaria, Germany, July 31, 1958 to Fred Howell Sr. and his wife Cleo I. Howell.
Joanette has a strong love of God. She studied and knew the scriptures and was willing to share and defend the faith. She loved the Family of God and her sisters in the Lord. Her favorite scripture is "Rejoice Always". She looks forward to Heaven and her outlook was "I am just passing through".
Her interests were vast and varied. Like all grandmothers, her first passion is her grandkids Kaleb and Yemi. Joanette was also well known for her "Formal Teas". She threw a "tea party" twice a year at her church for visitors and her church sisters. Her digital presence was felt in Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. Her artful and eclectic eye on Pinterest became a "go to" for many "boards" like wedding rings, wedding cakes, tea foods and other topics to be "repinned" over 200,000 times.
Joanette was most proud of her marriage to her beloved Husband for over 35 years, her son's service at Youth Villages in Memphis, her grandkids, her Sister in Christ, her best friend Carolyn and growing up with her Mom and her two brothers.
