Jill Rockland Myatt, 73, passed away on Sept 2, in Melbourne, FL. She was Born in New York, NY on Dec 3, 1947 to Albert and Evelyn Rockland.

Jill worked for many years at the IRS as a Revenue Officer and in the Problems Resolutions Office where she rose through the ranks and excelled. In her position at the IRS, Jill intervened on many occasions to keep people from losing their homes, businesses, and livelihoods even if that meant confronting her superiors and almost losing her job in the process. Much like her father Albert, Jill always felt compassion for the downtrodden and the powerless and loathed watching the strong victimizing the weak.

Jill Graduated Magna Cum Laude at FIU where she did research work with professors and authors alike. Jill excelled at nearly everything she put her mind to and was loyal to her family and friends. She tried to make those around her happy and did not try to be anyone other than who she was. She conducted herself with honor, integrity, and love.

Jill loved playing Monopoly until the sun came up, Classic Star Trek, The Twilight Zone, The Lone Ranger, George Carlin, Due South, Silent Running, Renegade, Guns n' Rose's, tattoos, horses, lobsters, the ocean, The Beatles, author Dean Koontz and so much more.

She is survived by her two children, Tracy Myatt of Virginia and David Myatt of Washington.

You will not be forgotten by your family or the lives you touched. When we leave a place part of it goes with us and part of us remains. All the echoes of our conversations and every thought and word we have exchanged stays in this world long after we are gone.
