Jessie T. Gainey, 80, of Melbourne/Palm Bay passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at home with her family by her side. She was born on February 2, 1935 in Goldsboro, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her son, Edward "Dirk" Gainey; parents, the late Ed and Ernestine Tyndall; and sister, Dorothy Ellis.

Jessie will always be remembered for her love of reading, sunshine and the beach. Her love of her family, friends and church, Grace Bible Palm Bay were beyond words. She will forever be missed by all who knew her.

Survived by her children, Vera Crockett, Rita Porter, Dan Gainey; grandchildren, Shannon Porter, Jessie Vojtecky, William Brown, Dustin Porter; great grandchildren, Edwin Porter and Reagan Vojtecky; sisters, Francis Stewart, Diane Tyndall, Kaye Henry (John); Brother-in-law, BJ Ellis and many nieces and nephews.

A family memorial will be scheduled at a later date in Goldsboro, N.C.
