Jeffrey V. Ohlin, peacefully departed this world on December 5, 2023, at home in Melbourne, Florida, concluding a courageous battle against cancer. He was 70 years old.
Born on February 16, 1953, Jeffrey was the cherished son of Anthony and Mary Ohlin. His life unfolded as a tapestry of resilience and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jeffrey was not only a brick and stone mason but a thriving business owner, dedicating over four decades to his craft. His exceptional work adorns the landscape of Brevard County, Florida, a testament to his unwavering commitment and skill.
Family was the heartbeat of Jeffrey's existence. He was a beloved father to Rachel and Daniel and grandfather to Lily. His legacy is one of boundless love, and the warmth he shared will continue to echo through the hearts of those who held him dear.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Jeffrey found joy in collecting comic books and coins, enjoying long walks with his Bassett hound, Molly. His unique sense of humor and compassionate nature left an enduring impact on the lives of all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
Jeffrey is survived and lovingly remembered by his daughter, Rachel (Joey) LaStella, and son, Daniel (Jennifer) Ohlin, along with granddaughter Lily LaStella. Susan Ohlin, the devoted mother of his children, provided care and support throughout his battle with cancer. He is also remembered fondly by his sister, Judy (Terry) Wenger, and brothers David (Marilynn) and Jerry (Sandra) Ohlin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Mary Ohlin and his brother, William Ohlin.
Jeffrey Ohlin's memory will endure in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him. Though deeply missed, his spirit lives on, a beacon of love and warmth that will continue to guide those who were touched by his presence.
A solemn farewell will take place on Thursday, January 4th, 2024 at 1pm at Ascension Catholic Church, 2950 N. Harbor City Blvd, Melbourne, FL.
Join us in a celebration of Jeffrey's life on Friday, January 5th, 2024 from 4pm to 8pm at 5995 N. US Hwy 1, Rockledge, FL.
