Jane Leah Thompson was called to heaven on Saturday, November 20, 2021. She was born to the late Frances O'Neill Karolski and the late Joseph Philippe Lebel in Montclair, NJ on November 11, 1941.
Jane was the proud and loving mother of Colleen Adams, Kimberly Bowen, Charles Wade Jr. and Kevin (Chopper) Wade. She was the loving Mother-in-Law of Carl Adams, William (Bo) Bowen, Jacquelyn Wade and LeaAnn Wade. Jane was also blessed with 7 great grandchildren: Lexiebella Wade, Hadley Bowen, Brayleigh Wade, Charles (Cash) Wade IV, Aubrey Adams, Aeliana Adams and Shiloh Wade.
Jane leaves behind the love of her life, Sam Robertson, her adoring companion of 15 years who cared for her with a special love and devotion. Jane was predeceased by two husbands, Charles Wade and Tommy Thompson.
Jane is survived by four sisters, Joanne Hadjics (James), Mary Paone (Peter), Barbara Karolski (Patricia Tomeske) and Kathleen Iandiorio (Thomas). She is predeceased by two sisters, Margaret (Peggy) Carpenter and Corinne McGee. She was also loved by many nieces and nephews, as well as many family in-laws and friends.
Jane was an amazing single mother raising her four children while managing a successful, 30 year career that took her from Lakehurst, NJ to the island of Puerto Rico. She was most impressive in her role as Club Coordinator at Roosevelt Roads Naval Station. She was a dynamic leader and lit up every room she entered with her sparkling blue eyes and warm smile.
The family of Jane takes great comfort in knowing she lived a full and happy life. She loved her family deeply and cherished every occasion together watching everyone having a good time and sharing their love! She loved to cook gourmet meals to share with family, friends, and everyone she met along the way. Jane always had a beautiful passion for all veterans and looked forward to good times at her local VFW's, with Sam by her side. She loved watching the cooking channels, investigative mysteries and buying many of the "As Seen on TV" items.
Jane's legacy of family & love will proudly live on in all of us. We are so grateful and feel blessed for the wonderful memories of our time together. We will miss her tremendously and love her forever.
All are welcome to join our family for her Celebration of Life on December 18,2021 at 2:30pm at the VFW Post #8191. The address is 4130 N Harbor City Blvd, Melbourne, FL 32935.
