James Richard Skidmore, 59, of Palm Bay, Florida passed away December 5, 2015 at William Childs Hospice House.
He was born February 15, 1956 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, to the late Richard and Mary Skidmore, and had been a resident of Brevard County for 48 years coming from his birthplace.
Mr. Skidmore retired after serving 14 years an EMT and 911 dispatcher with Brevard County Fire Rescue and previously Harbor City Volunteer Ambulance Squad. He was a member of the IAFF local 2969.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Barbara Skidmore; step-daughters, Karen (Joshua) Coale and Stacey (Derek); sisters, Betty (David) McMillan, Pixie Knox and Peggy Skidmore; nephews, Ryan McMillan, Matt Knox and Jeff Knox and 3 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and family on December 9, 2015 at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home from 3:30-4:30 pm, followed by a 4:30 memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to William Childs Hospice House, Palm Bay.
