James Robert Shaw, 89, of Palm Bay, died Monday March 7th, 2022 with family at his side at the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay.

He was born to the late Robert and Sara Shaw on May 28, 1932, in Bridgeport, CT. Jim graduated from Stratford High School in 1949, later earning a Master of Engineering from the University of New Haven as well as an MBA from Northwest Community College.

He was married to the late Anne Marie Brusie in 1977 and they lived in Winsted, CT before Jim moved to Stuart, FL in 2010, later moving to spend his last months in Palm Bay.

Jim was an active Mason for many years while working as an Industrial Engineer for several companies in New England. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, where he played saxophone and clarinet in the band, and continued his love for music playing in bands in the greater New Haven, CT area.

He is survived by his sister, Carol Daley of Clearwater, FL; his children Richard Shaw of Palm Bay and Suzanna Moore of Senatobia, MS; five grandchildren, one nephew as well as several great grandchildren.
