James "Jim" W. Griffin of Melbourne FL , age 85, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon February 16, 2019 as his loving wife gently held his hand and caressed his arm.  Jim was born June 6, 1933 in Laurens, SC and later moved to Anderson, SC.   Jim was a fabulous husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and hero.  Jim joined the Air Force in 1950 at the age of 17.  Jim served his country for 20 years until July 1970 and was honorably discharged as an E-6 Technical Sergeant.  After Jim's service to his country he then worked for the Supreme Court as Deputy Marshal Policeman for 20 years.  Jim lived a full life and lived for simple pleasures of life.  At age 2 Jim was a cyclist as he loved to ride his tricycle.  Even into his 70's he enjoyed riding his bicycle Starlet in many rides all over the east coast.

Jim is survived by his wife Virginia Raisovich of Melbourne Florida.  For 11 years Jim has been the light of Virginia's life.  Jim is also survived by his daughter "Meg" Mary Elizabeth Griffin-Adams of Maryland whom shared a very special bond with her father, and one brother "Bob" Robert Griffin and wife Gloria Griffin of Greenville, SC.

Jim's wishes were for cremation. Though the body may pass away love, friendship, and memories never do.  Jim will forever live in the hearts of those who loved and cherished him.
