Jacqueline M. Carney, 86, of Palm Bay, FL, formerly of Green Bank, NJ departed this life on September 20, 2015 after a courageous fight with lung cancer.
Jackie was the daughter of Henry and Stella Tomkinson of Egg Harbor City, NJ. Jackie attended school in Egg Harbor City, from kindergarten to High School. After high school she went to work for her father at Henry's Express and in later years worked alongside of her husband, Bill, at their various businesses.
While living in New Jersey, Jackie was a member of Green Bank PTA, Green Bank Vol. Fire Ladies Auxiliary and Past Matron of the Dewey Chapter #155 Order of Eastern Star. After moving to Florida, she was the past Florida State Treasurer for the National Camping Travelers, Past Secretary/Treasurer of Hiram's Roadrunners #145 and Good Sam and No Frills #138.
Jackie enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband, Bill and any kind of crafts, especially making her embroidery cards.
Jackie was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Stella Tomkinson; brother, Henry, Jr. and great-granddaughter, Cheyenne.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband, William "Bill" of 66 years; children, Karen (Pete) Bacon, Loreen (Bruce) Wise, William (Josephine) Carney; grandchildren, David (Staci) Bacon, Jennifer (James) Sweeny, Joshua (Martyna) Carney, David (Noelle) Wise, Patrick (Melissa) Carney and Nicole Wise; great-grandchildren, Rachel Bacon, Jillian Sweeny, Julia Sweeny, Nicholas Carney, Adam Bacon, Sofia Bacon, Matthew Carney, Meadow Wise and Izabella Carney.
A memorial service will be held in New Jersey at a later date.
