Obituary

Jacqualyn L. Sproul passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones Saturday, October 27, 2018, from cancer.  She was 57.

Jackie was born on August 2, 1961 in Boothbay, Maine to Jim and Chris Sproul. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Sproul, in 2011 and her brother Michael Sproul in 2012.

She had many life-long friends growing up in Boothbay, not to mention many cousins from both sides of the family.  The stories they would share would always have you roaring in laughter as Jackie had a insatiable zest for life and always quick with a smile.  She always maintained a positive and upbeat attitude even during her 5 months through chemotherapy.  You never saw Jackie without a smile on her face or laughing, usually at her own jokes, and she always saw the bright side of things in life and would extend her hand and heart to anyone she could help, she had a big heart.

Jackie moved to Florida in 1988 and after working as a independent carrier for Florida Today she ventured out and bought her own lawn care business, Lawn Service Plus, where she absolutely thrived as a business owner for over 17 years.  Her dedication to her customers and employees provided her with a very successful business.  She loved getting to know her customers and would take time to talk with them and listen to their stories of family, vacations or just to share a laugh with them.

In the summer of 1991 she met her life partner, Natalie Bew.  As both are animal lovers they had many cats and dogs throughout their life and enjoyed many nieces, nephews and friends.  One of her favorite things to do to get away and unwind was canoeing and sunset cruises.  And she loved football, go New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers.

She will be deeply missed, she was so loved by all who had the privilege to know her.  The sound of her laughter will forever be etched in your mind, she was one special woman who will never be forgotten.

Jackie is survived by her life partner, Natalie Bew; mother, Christine Sproul; nieces Erica Sproul, Brooke Bernard, Rachael Reynolds, Melissa Bew, Sarah Bew; nephews, Adam Sproul, Steven Bernard, Kevin Bernard, Curtis Bew; unofficial adopted son, Matthew Vandom and goddauther Katlyn Holm and many, many cousins.

A grave site service will be held in spring in Boothbay, Maine.  A celebration of life will be Saturday, November 10, 2018, 2:00pm at Wickham Park.  Plans are in work for celebration of life in Maine.
