Jack Glenn, 68, of Melbourne left us unexpectedly on Monday, June 9, 2014. He served in the United States Navy, followed by USN Reserves and shortly thereafter began his career with the City of Melbourne as Fire Inspector, Building Inspector, and then Fire Marshall. He retired from the City in 1998 and moved to Tallahassee where he joined the Florida Home Builders Association as Technical Services Director. He retired from FHBA and returned to his home in Melbourne in 2013.
Jack is preceded in death by his father, Jack O Glenn, Sr., his grandparents, Grover and Gladys Anderson and Aunt Erma Anderson. He is survived by his mother, Jane Glenn of Palm Bay, daughters Jill Glenn of Pensacola, Leigh (Rick) Dionisio of Foley, AL and their mother Sue Byrne, grandsons Connor Manning and Gavin Dionisio, sister Christine(Tom) Penland of Palm Bay, Niece Kelly (Tracy) Holmes and their children Tim, Mary, and Tracy of Palm Bay. He also leaves a very close friend Jan Varga and his best buddy Jake. Family will greet friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home with a Celebration of Jack's Life to follow at 3 p.m.
