Eau Gallie

Isabelle M. Jones, 93, graciously entered into the open arms of our Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 10, 2014. Born in Waukegan, IL on March 21, 1921 she was the beloved daughter of the late Hoogas and Julia Matoian. She was proud of her Armenian heritage and was given the name Zabel, meaning "God is my Oath". Isabelle has been a longtime resident of Brevard County and will be remembered by the infinite bound of love she shared with her family and friends. She was a devoted mother and a devout Catholic, whom truly appreciated the gift of life. Her beautiful smile and gentle laugh will be forever in our hearts. Isabelle leaves memories to be cherished by her daughters, Julia Johnson, Mary Poole (George) and Arlene Jones; sister, Mary Gillespie; grandchildren, Curtis Johnson, Fran Walker, Shane Johnson, George Poole, Tom Poole, Russell Poole, Edwin Jones and Paul Jones; 13 great grandchildren; and her Bichon companion, whom she considered a granddaughter, Shayna.
She was predeceased by her son, Russell "Bud" Jones and her husband, Curtis Jones. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30a.m. on Monday, May 19th at Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne. Inurnment will follow in the Eau Gallie Cemetery.
