Irene Francis Sugzda Rose
On the Day Mother was Born, her World Rejoiced and She cried.
On the Day Mother Died, her World cried and She Rejoiced.
Irene Francis Sugzda was born May 26, 1938 to Frances and Edward Sugzda, the second of four siblings.
Lillian, Richie, And Judith.
Mother was Blessed with a loving family and a devotion of serving others. Mother attended Holy Name Grade School and graduated from St. Anthony's HS in 1956. Mother married Ronald R Rose Nov. 7, 1959, and the newlyweds relocated to the small Hamlet of Chadwicks in Upstate NY, due to her Husband's employment w/GE. As a young Bride and Mom, Mother's life flourished with the Ladies of Elm St. where, she found love and Support, esp. w/her Best Friend Alice Puleo. Mother was a devout member of St. Anthonys of Padua Catholic Church, tending to the Church flowers, serving on the Altar Rosary Committee, and bringing her best Kapusata to social events at the Church Hall. This Super Woman held two full time jobs, by day a School Bus Driver, retiring from Sauquoit Valley School District, after 33yrs., by night a Patient Registra at St. Elizabeth Hospital retiring after 25yrs. In 2006 my Parents retired to Snug Harbor Sebastian Fl., where together they enjoyed 'shoveling sand instead of snow', relaxing pool time, playing 'Nickels', w/Friends esp with her Best Friend Joan Wuillamey, and holding the Title of Shuffleboard Queen 2yrs in a row.
On Friday January, 28, 2022 Mother passed peacefully at the home of her Daughter Dawn and son-in-law Laszlo Kosa, who were loving by her side. Mother is predeceased by her Husband Ronald, Parents, Sister Lillian Rezeppa, and Brother Richie.
Mother is survived by her Sister Judy Sabalinski, Brother in laws Raymond Rzeppa and Richard Rose, wife Nancy, Nieces and Nephews.
Mother's name, Irene, means 'Peace". May you be filled with Peace whenever you think of Mother, This Angel will be watching you from Heaven. A very Special Thank you to the Sabalinski, Rzeppa, Teran and Rose Families, the Puleo, Griffin, Briggs Families. Warm Hugs to Aunt Judy, Debra Clark, Maria Puleo and Josephine Horning for countless cards, phones calls and visits. Mother treasured these gifts. Thank you to my Husband Laszlo for making everything possible and lovingly keeping Mom at home.
