Bert really enjoyed living in Florida--paradise he called it. He made good friends while living in Rhode Island and even more when he moved to Florida. He was a sports enthusiast, especially soccer, and was a long time supporter of Nottingham Forest F.C. Bert was very active and loved to dance and play golf. In his quiet time he liked to read and play cards. Most of all, he loved to travel, whether it was to a foreign or domestic destination. His favorite destination was the trip that was taken through the national parks where each day he would say it couldn't get any better, but it always did. Wherever Bert went, he made friends and a lasting impression due to his quick wit and stories of his past. Bert always said that he had a great life with the best family and friends that anyone could have had.
He was a parishioner of Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne, Florida. Funeral mass is Saturday, October 9th at 1:00pm at Ascension Catholic Church.
