Helen Viola Hill, 97, of Melbourne, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.

She was born to the late Fred and Viola Rogers on May 25, 1921 in Desoto, Missouri.

She married the late Oscar E. Ernst in 1938 and resided in St. Louis, Missouri where they had two children, George Edwin and Wanda Jean.  After the passing of Oscar in 1984 Helen moved to Melbourne, Florida.  She was married to Glenn Hill until his death.  Helen is preceded in death by Oscar, Glenn and her eldest child George.

She is survived by her daughter Wanda Jean (Ernst) Porter of Nixa, Missouri, her two grandchildren Melissa Cooper of Marble Hill, Missouri and Sean Porter of Atlanta, Georgia and four great-grandchildren, Katrina, Kathlyn, Keegan and Clifton.

Helen was very active in the Masonic order most of her adult life, both in St. Louis and in Melbourne.  She was a Worthy Matron of Eastern Star and active in the Daughters of the Nile and the Widows Club.

A memorial service will be held for Helen on Tuesday, February 5th, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Davis-Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne, Florida.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
