Helen Marie Diffenderfer, 85, passed away on May 20, 2013 at Parrish Medical Center. Helen was born December 16, 1927 in Columbia, PA. Helen and her family moved to Brevard County in 1965. She was a retired U.S. Civil Service worker with Patrick Air Force Base in FL. Helen's work included being a telephone operator and clerical assistant for Finance & Accounting department. After retirement she continued keeping herself busy in various other duties around the community. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church of West Melbourne. She was most proud of her duties as president of their United Methodist Women's chapter. Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence C. Diffenderfer and a daughter, Rachel A. Hoibraten, also preceded by 6 sisters and 1 brother. She will be greatly missed by her surviving five children: Jeannie (Rick) Myers, George (Laura) Millar, Bonnie (Harley) Caldwell, James (Linda) Millar and Joseph (Lillian) Millar; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Joseph (Beverly) Raff in PA. Memorial services will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church in West Melbourne, on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, Children's Miracle Network or the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
