Helen W. Apone

Helen W. Apone 88, of Melbourne, FL. died Monday June 18, 2012.
Survived by her husband John of 61 years as best friends, with uplifting relationship, her two sons Gregory and Jeffroy and four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren. Her loving nephew Robert M. Slicker and his wife Tracy, there three children Olivia, Greyson and Maxwell of Texas, Loving niece Amy Schwartz and her two children Grace Ann and Noah.
Helen attended Plymouth High School and graduated from Bridgewater State with a Bachelor of Ed/Physical Education. She so loved working working with grades one through twelve, thirty two years in Westwood, Bourne, Plymouth and Ludlow MA; from September 1947 through June 1982. Twenty four of those were in Ludlow and was the Girls Basketball Coach at the High School and the Girls Club in Ludlow.
She is a loved one who will never be forgotten, some of the awards were Outstanding Teacher of America, Greatest Gym Teacher Award by her Students, and is a life member of The Mass Society of Mayflower Decendants.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Davis-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Melbourne, FL. is in charge of arrangements.
