Hazel M. Thomas, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 8, 2011. Hazel was born and raised in Charleston and the surrounding area and attended St. Matthews Episcopal Church. She relocated to Melbourne, FL in 1980 from Charleston where she enjoyed the lifestyle and nature that the sunshine state had to offer. She became a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Melbourne and served in their thrift store.

Hazel was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. She leaves behind her loving children, Roger (Lynn) Thomas, Jr., Jim (Sherri) Thomas, Mary (Ron Meeden) Thomas and Susan (Jim) Reedy; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Roger Sr.

A Celebration of Hazel's Life will be held at 11:00am on Monday, December 19, 2011 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Charleston, WV.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made In Memory of Hazel to: St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 36 Norwood Rd., Charleston, WV 25314.
