Gretta A. Carter, longtime resident of Sebastian, FL, departed this life peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2013. She was born on January 23, 1935 to the late John and Gretta Ainsworth-McConnell. Gretta was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles; son, JJ Miller; and sister, Dolores McConnell. Gretta leaves memories to be cherished by her children; Joan Marie Philippi (Carl), Thomas Miller Jr., Peggy Owens, and Rosetta Neverette; siblings, John J. McConnell and Joe McConnell; grandchildren, Felicia, Carl Jr., Thomas Miller III, Robert Miller, Jackie Jr., Nicole, and Danny; and her best friend, Betty. Gretta was known for her love of life, sense of humor and having a wonderful memory. She will be dearly missed but forever in our hearts. Family will celebrate Gretta's life privately.
