Gregory W. Miller , age 62, of Palm Bay, formerly of Alkol, WV and Hurricane, WV, passed away following a battle with glioblasstoma (brain cancer) on Wednesday October 15, 2014. at Vitas Hospice Inpatient Unit in Merritt Island. He graduated from Duval High School in Lincoln County WV and Marshall University Graduate College in South Charleston, WV, as well as Marshall University in Huntington, WV, where he earned bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees. He was employed with the Lincoln County WV schools system for 34 years before relocating to Palm Bay in 2012. Gregg enjoyed flying, collecting firearms, and riding Harleys, He also enjoyed conversing (talking, talking, and even more talking) with friends & strangers alike. Gregg was known for his intelligence, outgoing personality & sense of humor. He is survived by his wife, Pam Miller of Palm Bay, mother Emma Miller of Hurricane, WV, step-granddaughter Taylor Walker of Alum Creek, WV and his four-legged babies Duncan, Carly & Lexi whom he loved dearly. He will also be missed by numerous family members including his cousin, Ruth Ashley of both Melbourne & Cottageville WV, with whom he had a special relationship. He was an avid member of Beni Kedem Shrine Temple, Azan Shrine Temple, the Freemasons, Jesters on Wheels and the Liar's Club.
