Grace G. Paris, 97, a resident of Trinity Towers, died of natural causes July 25, 2012 at Holmes Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Paris was born in San Francisco. Following the death of her parents at an early age, she lived in Elmira, New York with her grandparents, COL John C F Tillson, USMA 1878, and Adelaide Meek Tillson.

Mrs. Paris attended Cornell University and later moved to Massachusetts with her husband, F. Wynne Paris of Philadelphia. After raising her two sons, she moved to West Chester, PA and became a genealogist.

Mrs. Paris and her husband moved to Melbourne in 1992 to enjoy their golden years. She loved the theatre and was a member of the Newton Players, Newton, MA. She appreciated French art and culture having majored in French at Cornell and travelled to France and Switzerland. Her father-in-law, the late W. Francklyn Paris of New York was founder of the American Society of the French Legion of Honor. She was an active swimmer and worked out in the local swimming pool at Gleeson Park well into her 80s.

Her husband passed away in 2007.

Mrs. Paris is survived by sons, COL William F. Paris II USA Ret, John Tillson Paris, six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
