Gordon F. Watterud, 82 years old from Melbourne, FL, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Gordon was born on July 10, 1939 to Mary and Raymond Watterud (who preceded him in death).
Gordon worked many years as a software engineer. He also spent many hours enjoying square dancing, gardening, reading, puzzles, and crossword puzzles.
Gordon leaves his wife of 62 years, Vivian Watterud, in addition to his children, Kim Hergert of Leominster, MA; Scott Watterud (Nancy) of Eaton, NY; Brenda Conway (Randy) of Palm Coast, FL; Barbara O'Brien (Bill) of Northborough, MA; and Lisa Parks (Gary) of Marlborough, MA. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lily Harms. He is also survived by his sisters, MaryAnn Moniz, Luella Jennings (Don), and his brother Dale (Rita) Watterud. He is also survived by twelve (12) grandchildren and nine (9) great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at the Davis Seawinds Funeral Home located at 560 Montreal Ave, Melbourne, Fl at 11:00am on Saturday, March 12, 2022.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Vitas Inpatient Hospice Unit, Rockledge, FL, especially the nurses and doctors who cared for Gordon in such a personal and professional manner. Their loving attention to him during his stay there was greatly appreciated. Their compassion was overwhelming.
