On Sunday, July 29, 2018, our loving Mother, Gloria Ann Reopelle of Melbourne, FL, passed away peacefully in her sleep. She will be terribly missed by all who loved her and whose lives were touched by her.

Gloria was born on November 10, 1937 in Chicago, IL to Frank and Gertrude Gworek. Gloria was a graduate of Bangor High School, Bangor, MI. She was the owner and editor of The Journal Shopping News in Parchment, MI before retiring and moving to Melbourne, FL in 1974. She held several positions including manager of Speedway Auto Auctions, Title Clerk/Notary at Jim Rathman's Chevrolet, and office coordinator at CarMax. She was a lifelong member of the American Legion.

Gloria had a passion for playing Pinochle and was an expert at crossword puzzles. She particularly loved visits and calls from her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She religiously sent cards for every birthday and holiday. She helped her friends, neighbors, and family whenever they were in need.

She raised two sons Col (R) Douglas Strand and Gary Strand and three daughters, Cynthia Roper, Debra Rosario, and Amy Coggins. Gloria was preceded in death by her father, Frank Gworek and her mother, Gertrude Aaron. She is survived by her five children, 12 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. A memorial will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 1pm at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home at 560 Montreal  Ave , Melbourne, FL 32935 .
