Girley Marie Cummer (88) of Melbourne, passed away June 29th with loving family members by her side.

"Marie" was born in Maryland and was raised on her family's tobacco farm. They had no electricity or running water but had a pump outside their kitchen door. Marie would say "life was wonderful on the farm! We were poor, but didn't know it."

Marie married William E. Cummer, Jr. in 1971.  Her dog "HoJo" introduced them in Maryland. They moved to San Diego and later settled in Melbourne. The years together were filled with adventures, laughter, love and never a dull moment. Although she didn't have children, she loved all of Bill's family as her own.
