Gilbert "Dutch" Lepeska passed peacefully at his home in Melbourne, FL on September 26, 2023 at the age of 91.  He battled Alzheimer's disease for many years.

Dutch was born in Wauwatosa, WI to Anthony and Lydia Lepeska later moving to Milwaukee where he met and married his wife Idelle celebrating 68 years together.  Dutch was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather.

Dutch went to work for United Airlines (then known as Capital Airlines) right out of high school as a baggage handler/manager of the SATO office at Patrick Airforce Base retiring after 40 years.  After retiring from United, Dutch worked for the Brevard County School System where he then retired after 11 years.  He was very proud of the Employee of the Year award given to him by his school.  Working for the airlines afforded Dutch and Idelle the opportunity to fly all over the world enjoying every minute of it.  Dutch also enjoyed camping with his family and his camping club but his passion was roller-skating which he skated competitively until he was 85 years old.  When he wasn't skating he loved to build airplane models, especially Capital and United.  Dutch's love for flying came at a very early age always asking for a plane every Christmas which of course he never got but now he is flying high with blue skies and tail winds in Heaven.

Dutch is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Anita.  He is survived by his wife Idelle, Children, Lynn (Arno) Werner, Mark (Martha) Lepeska and Glenn Lepeska, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
