George A. Lahn, 93, of Melbourne died Saturday, March 10, 2018.

He was born to Fredrick Lahn and Dorothy Timmerman on March 28, 1924 in New York City, NY.  George graduated from the Polytechnic Institute in Brooklyn, NY in 1954 where he received a BS in Mechanical Engineering.  He held a license for a Professional Engineer for consumer protection from the states of New York, Connecticut and Florida.  George was employed at several companies in the Consumer Products sector including Canada Dry, Lily Tulip, Welch's, Kraft foods, Roux (Revlon) and Chesebrough Ponds, and retired from Hills Manufacturing in Melbourne.  George was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army Air Corp. where he served in the European Theater during World War II.

He is a member of the New York State Club where he enjoyed traveling.   He was very active with the Lamplighter Village community.  He belonged to the American Legion. He proudly participated in the Honor Flight to Washington, DC, and was a 15-gallon blood donor at One Blood of FL in Melbourne.  He played his last round of golf at age 93.

George is survived by his wife, Rosanne and is predeceased by Mary Lahn (2000). He is also survived by children Robert Lahn (Kathy) of Melbourne, FL, Kenneth Lahn (Pam) of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Steven Lahn (Kathy) of West Haven, CT and Kathleen Connors (John) of Niles, MI, six grandchildren and many step-children and step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on March 15, 2018 from 4-6 p.m. at Davis-Seawinds Funeral Home.

An interment celebration will be held at a later date at Suntree United Methodist Church.
