George Donald Boynton born September 25, 1927 in Picnic, Florida was greeted in Heaven on May 2, 2013 by his mother, Lorene Smith Boynton; wife, Betty Givens Boynton; children George Perry, George Phillip, and Robin Lynn; brother, Ronnie Boynton and sister, Emma Wilson. Survived by three daughters, Margaret (Rick) Goolsby, Palm Bay, Florida; Cath (John) Smith, Rushden, England; and Debbie (Doyle) Merciers, Chickamauga, Georgia; brother, Francis Boynton and sister, Lydia Carver. Affectionately remembered by 10 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren as Papa, Big Papa, Granddad, and Grampie (Grumpie). He served as an Air Vac medic in the Army/Air Corp. He was a professional truck driver for many years after having been a butcher in his younger years. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 6, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Gibsonton, Florida at 1 p.m. with Reverend Mac Clements officiating.
