Gary R. Havener was born November 28, 1956 to William and Deloris Havener in Germany where his father was stationed.  Gary spent most of his growing years in Rantoul, Illinois. After graduating high school,he joined the military. He was a Navy Veteran of the Gulf War. He retired after serving his country for twenty years. He then moved to Florida where his family lives. Gary worked for Grumman for ten years.

Surviving are his mother, Deloris Walker, brother Roy E. Havener, Melbourne Police Dept. (ret). His four children, one nephew, one niece, two uncles and three aunts.  Bill Killman and wife Patty, Pete Killman and wife Chris, Sharon Phareas, Aunt and many cousins.

Preceding him in death were his father William G. Havener and Step-father Colonel John A. Walker.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary's memory may be made to Heart Association. Gary will be buried in Bushnell National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.

A Celebration of Life Reception will be held at the Legacy Apartments Clubhouse located at Babcock and Hibiscus on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 4:00PM - 6:00PM.
