Obituary

Fred Di Francesco, 78, died peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2015, 7 years after a brave battle against Multiple Myeloma.
He was born July 7, 1937, in South Philadelphia, PA to the late Otello and Philomena. Fred proudly served in the United States Army and completed his military service in 1957. He was a police officer in the City of Philadelphia and was injured on duty in 1969.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Loretta Love Di Francesco; son, Frederick Dominic, wife, Debbi; daughter, Lorraine Di Francesco Gauss, husband, Stephen; sister, Jane Musto and brother, Joe Di Francesco, wife, Christina; 3 precious grandchildren, Lanie, Sophie and Dave and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Fred will be remembered for his joy of life by all his family and friends. He was known for his great Italian cooking, his unique way of storytelling, his acts of kindness towards others and his patriotism as lifetime member of the VFW, serving as Chaplain and Service Officer at Post 10148, Cocoa Beach.
Fred moved to the Cocoa Beach area in 1971. He and his children enjoyed fishing and boating. He and Loretta enjoyed traveling and his hobby was gambling - sharing many jackpots with his family.

A funeral mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 5655 Stadium Parkway, Viera, Fl on Saturday, October 24th at 11AM. Our Godchild, Steffy Siano Todd will have a Celebration of Life for her Uncle Fred at her home on Saturday, October 31st.
