Frances J. Zahul, 87, of Melbourne, passed away April 19th, 2016 peacefully at home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Born in Detroit Michigan, where she married her beloved husband, the late William Zahul Jr., Fran lived in Brevard County for 50 years. She taught sewing at Satellite High School's adult education for 11 years; she also enjoyed teaching shell crafting classes as a hobby. She volunteered for Senior TranServe and Seniors at Lunch for many years. A member of the Red Hat Society, she made lots of close friends and enjoyed being with them. One of her favorite things was traveling to see family and friends all over the U.S. and going to foreign places such as Dubai, Ireland, Prague and Russia. She loved Las Vegas, Atlanta, Tampa, New York, Virginia, swimming, sunning, and the occasional jet ski ride. Fran kept in touch with lifelong friends that she made while living in Michigan, and when she finally got her iPad she was even more connected learning facebook, texting, and emailing at 85. She had a great sense of humor, loved jokes, music and was an avid artist. Fran's family was the most important thing to her. The most loving mother, she instilled positivity and confidence in her children, teaching them to be strong, and loving. She is survived by her daughter Valerie McMillen (Scott), son William III (Debbye), son Charles, son Terry (Kathy), and her grandchildren, Holly Trexler, Darrell Rhoads (KC), Kristen Butler (Jeremy), Allanna Pape (Alex), Deanna Nolan (Phil), Charles Zahul Jr., Will Zahul and Houston Zahul, and many great grandchildren, Mason Butler, Tucker Butler, Caleigh Young, Bristol Rhoads, Jeremy Zahul, Blake Zahul, Troy Zahul, Skylar Zahul and Madison Zahul, Korbin Pape, Karsen Pape, Marissa Nolan, Madyson Nolan, her sister Patricia Korona and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Ascension Catholic Church on Saturday, April 23, at 11:30 am., where Fran was a member. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Susan G.
