Florence B Gerdon, 87, entered into rest on Wednesday August 14, 2019. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Charles E Gerdon and daughter Gloria Gunning. She was preceded in death by her brother Clinton "Sonny" Balch Jr.

Florence was born in Rome, NY and graduated from Pulaski High School and was a member of the Methodist Church.

Three days after graduating from High School, Florence worked as a paralegal for 3 lawyers, and to get to her job she had to hitch hike to and from work. She also operated a family grocery store for 26 years.

Florence was a member of the Women's auxiliary fire dept.,  former Fire commissioner and a member of the Lions Club.
