Eugene (Gene) Melvin Kadrmas, 89, passed away on September 3, 2023 in Palm Bay, Florida. At the time of his death he was married to his second wife, Margaret Kay Vaughan, for nearly 10 years. Gene shared 60 years with his first wife, Eleanor Decker of North Dakota, until her passing.

Born in Dickinson, North Dakota, he was the son of Louis Kadrmas and Emma Svihl. He began working as an apprentice electrician during his high school years and became a licensed electrician shortly thereafter. In later years, he built homes as a licensed general contractor. He spent the last 20 years as a full-time home builder.

He created Empowered By His Spirit Ministries in retirement, working closely with local ministries in India, Malawi, Kenya, and South Africa. He provided guidance and finance support to these ministries for many years. He will be remembered for helping to build schools near these ministries and opening his home to overseas missions visitors.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Vaughan, children; Jeffrey Kadrmas, Curtis Kadrmas, Kathleen Peters, Daniel Kadrmas, Laura Maushardt, Brenda Ellenson, Brothers; Vernon and Raymond Kadrmas, as well as 10 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be held at The Community Gospel Truth Church (795 S. Wickham Rd, Melbourne, FL 32904) on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 1pm.
