Etta Ree Sebastian, age 92, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026. Born to the late Rollie and Ruth Palmer on September 24, 1933, in Madison County, Kentucky. Etta spent much of her life devoted to her faith, family, and serving others with love and compassion.
Etta married her beloved husband, Frank Ballard Sebastian Jr. on March 14, 1952, they shared many years together until his passing on April 29, 1971.
Etta was a faithful member of Eastwind Pentecostal Church in Palm Bay, Florida, for more than 40 years. Her relationship with God was the foundation of her life, she found great joy in studying and sharing His Word. She was known for her unwavering faith, gentle spirit, and loving heart.
Etta enjoyed sewing, writing, painting, cooking, and spending time in God’s Word. Through her talents and encouragement, she touched the lives of many family members, friends, and fellow church members. Her wisdom, kindness, and prayers will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Gigi Wojcik, son-in-law, Steve Wojcik, brother Roy Palmer and sister Teresa Mullins.
She is survived by her children: Kevin Sebastian (Debbie) from Melbourne, FL, Lisa Poveda (Manuel) from Melbourne, FL and Julie Perez from Lexington, KY, her sister: Lillian Stinnet, her grandchildren: Trudy Poveda, Stephanie Sebastian, Megan Sebastian, Kevin Sebastian II, Charity Perez, Chelsy Perez; and 10 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought tremendous joy to her life. Loved by nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Though her family mourns her passing, they rejoice in the assurance that she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Her legacy of faith, love, strength, and devotion will continue through the generations that follow her.
A Celebration of Life for will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home, 315 Richmond Street, Lancaster, Kentucky 40444 with public visitation beginning at 1 PM and her funeral service beginning at 2 PM, the Rev. Wayne Naylor, Pastor of First Apostolic Church of Danville, KY officiating. A graveside service will immediately follow..
