Bud Trommater, of Hart MI, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at his son, Tom's home in Melbourne, FL. He was born March 10, 1931 at home in Elbridge Twp. Oceana County, MI, to Harold & Dolly (Smith) Trommater. He was united in marriage to Ella Robbins, in Hart, MI Oct. 19, 1952.

Bud grew up during the depression and World War II, helping his parents and sister Elaine on the dairy and later fruit farm. After graduating from Hart High, he helped on the farm till 1951 when he joined the Army Air Corps for four years. After returning he was employed by the U.S. Civil Service and also continued in the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard with a military retirement in 1986. His home was New Baltimore, MI until retirement when he built a new home on the Trommater land outside Hart, MI. Bud made Zephyrhills, Florida their winter home where he spent a lot of time on the shuffleboard courts. Bud was a family man, active in church activities at the First Congregational Church in New Baltimore and Wesleyan Church in Hart, MI. He enjoyed many years of camping, hunting, fishing and archery with his family and friends.

Bud is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ella; four sons, Richard of Saint Petersburg FL, Thomas (Linda) of Melbourne FL, Brian of Sherman TX and Randall of Mt. Clemens MI; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Benjamin) Duvall, Aaron Trommater, Shawn Brownell and Christopher Trommater, all of Florida; and four great grandchildren, Austin Trommater, Cameron Trommater, Beau Duvall and Serena Trommater of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Elaine DeVowe.
