Elaine Deslauriers Wolfe, 96, of Palm Bay, FL, formerly of Turners Falls and Barnstable MA., went home to be with the Lord on March 23rd with her daughter and son in law by her side. She was born to the late Paul and Laura Nadeau on August 2, 1924 in Colrain, MA. Elaine attended Turners Falls High School. In May of 1944, she married the late Thelisfore (Dusty) Deslauriers where they lived together in Turners Falls, MA until Dusty's passing. Elaine married her second husband, John Wolfe in 1991 and relocated to Barnstable, MA where she resided for 22 years until John passed away. In 2014, Elaine moved to Palm Bay, FL where she lived for the remainder of her life.
Elaine was a homemaker who worked at various jobs to help support her family. She retired from Lunt Silversmith where she worked as an inspector. She loved flower gardening and created beautiful gardens around her two homes. She loved her family and being together for Sunday dinners and family picnics in the backyard. She was kind and generous, always ready to help family and friends. Her lifelong motto was: "I choose to be happy."
Elaine is survived by her children, Dianne Lucas and husband Bruce of Palm bay, FL. and Gary Deslauriers and his wife Drena of Brattleboro, VT. She is survived by two granddaughters, Shawna Bah of Brattleboro, VT., Trista Kerber of Keene, NH., and was predeceased by her 3rd granddaughter Mindy Elaine Deslauriers. She was predeceased by a sister, Eleanor and three brothers, Lawrence, Francis and Richard. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, Kandia, Ezra, Janessa, Dreshawn, Antuan , Raheem, James and Jonathan 2 great, great grandchildren, Jaxson and Tiberius and several nieces and nephews.
Elaine will be laid to rest beside her first husband in Turners Falls, MA. A service is being planned for June 2021 at Our Lady of Peace Church in Turners Falls.
