Eileen Marie Banta born to Jeanette MacDougall & William Roeschlaub in Astoria, NY April 22, 1934. Current resident of Merritt Island, Florida went to heaven on July 26, 2019.

Eileen was a canteen girl at St. Albans Naval Base where she met and married (later divorced) Lyle Banta. They had three daughters: Jeanette Banta, spouse Steven Lincoln; Diane Acevedo and Renee Banta. Her grandchildren include Krista Petrone, spouse David, Monica Facella, spouse Joseph and David Banta, spouse Caylee Banta; along with her great grandchildren Calleigh, Carter, Cristiana, and Cohn Petrone, Ava & Alexa Facella, and soon to arrive Olivia Banta.

In Eileen's High School years she worked at a foundling home for orphaned children, and was a canteen girl at St. Albans Naval Base in Jamaica New York where she had met Lyle.

Eileen loved to read, travel in earlier years and her recent hobbies included puzzles, crossword puzzles and board games. She also volunteered through Cape Canaveral Hospital at the Healthplex and was involved in the Garden Club while living in Sunset Lakes.

A Celebration of Life will be upon invite on October 5, 2019.
