Eileen Teresa (Greene) Brooke of Viera Florida, passed away on October 27 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, Eileen was one of eight children of Gerard Greene and Minnie (Mead) Greene. She moved to the United States after marrying John Brooke II, in 1955. She earned her college degree at Florida State University after raising her sons and was a middle school math teacher, mentor and tutor in Leon and Hillsborough counties.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six of her siblings: Mary, Gerard, Cyril, Joan, Elizabeth and Maureen.

Eileen is survived by her husband of 67 years, John and her two sons, John III (Deby), Paul (Roberta), two grandsons, John IV (Cynthia) and Philip, and two great grandsons, John V and Christopher, and her sister Edwina as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
