Edwin Nils Hagstrom,70, passed away at home on Friday, May 24, 2013.

Ed was born on July 2, 1942 Mount Vernon, NY, but called Florida home for the last 40 years. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps as part of the expeditionary forces in the Vietnam War. Ed led a colorful, adventurous life. He had a "Don't tell me what to do!" attitude. He was well-travelled and he enjoyed his dogs, Heineken beer, the Miami Dolphins, and Jeopardy. Ed had a great intellect and warm wit. He liked making people laugh. He fully appreciated loyalty and devotion and embodied fidelity.

Ed is survived by Kathy, his wife of 26 years; daughter, Jessica Sagone and her husband Joe; son, Patrick and his wife Jessie; grandsons, Patrick and Max; sister, Joan Jackson and her husband Allan; and his beloved Stella and Becky.

Family will greet friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday June 1, 2013 at Davis-Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne with a Celebration of Ed's Life to follow at 2 p.m.

Inurnment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery.
