Edward Valentine Silvestri, 73, of Palm Bay, FL, beloved husband of Lauren Silvestri, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Born in New York on October 14, 1950, he was the son of the late Carmine and Aida Silvestri.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lauren Silvestri, his son, Adam Silvestri, his beloved grandchildren, Juliana and Dominick Silvestri,  his sisters, Sue Cotela and Mary Sheridan. He is preceded in death by his brother's John Silvestri, Thomas Silvestri and Joseph Silvestri. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and many dear friends.

Edward, affectionately known as "Eddie" or "Ed", graduated from Malverne High School in New York in 1969.  In his younger years he was an auto mechanic and later became a talented chef who ran two successful deli's, "NY Deli" and "Eduardo's" where he nurtured his passion for cooking and feeding people that carried on throughout his life. His "mac salad" and "salami pie" were must haves for family gatherings.   Eddie adored his pets, most recently his cat Clover who was a great support for him during his fight with cancer.  He enjoyed feeding peanuts to the birds and squirrels every morning, and loved riding his Harley Davidson. Eddie had a deep love for the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, where he enjoyed spending time.  He was a devoted husband to Lauren, with whom he shared 38 wonderful years. Eddie was known for his unwavering loyalty to his loved ones and his funny and unique sense of humor.

Edward will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In the words of Eddie, "Enjoy life, you never know when the ride will end.  My ride has just begun again.  So long for now, the mountains are calling and I must go".

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 5:00 PM at Palm Colony Clubhouse, 2379 Ersoff Blvd NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, an organization Eddie felt strongly about.
