MCCUNE, Edith Erica (Dahl) passed gently from this earth on January 18, 2017 at her home in
Indian Harbour Beach, FL. Born at home in Newington, CT, Nov. 5, 1919, to Eric and Hildur Dahl;
she was 97. Edith, a first-generation Swedish-American, was the first high school graduate in her
family and very proud of it. In 1950 she married Charles W. McCune, and continuously maintained
at least two homes at one time in CT, VT or FL for 52 years. She loved to entertain and did so for
many years at Pennel Hill Farm in W. Halifax, VT. A fabulous needle artist, she leaves a legacy
in thread for friends and family. She outlived all six of her siblings and leaves one daughter, Christine
W. McCune, a daughter-by-heart, Jo Miller, and many family members and friends across New
England and Florida.

Those wishing to express their sympathy with flowers are instead asked to send a donation to the
American Heart Assoc. or the March of Dimes. Davis-Seawinds Funeral Home of Eau Gallie, FL is
in charge of arrangements. A private memorial will be held later.
