Douglas Hugh Walker, 89, of Satellite Beach, died Tuesday, August 20, 2015.

He was born to the late William and Marguerite Walker on September 18, 1925 in Cleveland, OH. Douglas graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 1948 with a B.S. degree in Physics. During World War II (1944), he was drafted into the Air Force and was honorably discharged on November 7, 1945. He married Virginia Lusin on October 2, 1948 and they lived together in Frederick, MD.

At that time, Douglas worked as an Engineer at Fort Detrick in Maryland. At
that time, Fort Detrick was the U.S. Biological Warfare Facility. In 1957, he
moved to Satellite Beach. While in Satellite Beach, he worked at Patrick AFB as part of the Air Force Eastern Test Range team. Later, he worked for the US Navy on the Trident Submarine Program until he retired in 1978.

Among his other activities, he was the co-founder of Jet Press Printing Company in Cocoa Beach.

Douglas had two children Deborah Stepien and Kenneth Walker. He has three
grandchildren Shawn Walker, Kenneth Walker and Mike Stepien. Douglas also has
four great-grandchildren Kenny Walker, Michael Stepien, Joey Stepien and Angel Stepien.

Douglas enjoyed fishing, boating, scuba diving, square dancing,
traveling, wood carving and wood working.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00am Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Davis-Seawinds Funeral Home. Burial will be 12:15pm, Tuesday Florida Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be shared online at www.davisseawinds.com.
