Douglas Allen Simon, 58, passed away on February 24, at home in Melbourne, FL. He is now at peace after a strong 4 year fight with cancer. No more sickness, no more pain, only a broken heart as he left us way too soon. He leaves behind his wife Diane Simon; daughters Jessica Simon and Jennifer (Timothy) Oliver.

Doug was born on April 29, 1958 in Cheverly, MD to the parents of James and Peggy Simon, who predeceased him. He grew up with one sister, Patty, in the D.C. area and later resided in Laurel, MD. There he married the love of his life, Diane (Kraft) on April 23, 1983, then relocated to Melbourne in September 1985, where they raised their two daughters together.

Doug was best known for his infectious laugh, sense of humor, love for his family, and willingness to do all he could for others. He was an amazing Husband, Dad, and Friend that will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, March 6, 2017 at 2 PM at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel.
