Douglas W. Seaman, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in Malabar, FL. Doug was born in Binghamton, NY on August 18, 1928 to the late Horace P. Seaman and Lena P. Stimpson.

He moved to the sunshine state in 1994 following his retirement.

Doug is survived by his loving wife of 55 wonderful years, Helen; children, Sandra (John) Arnold and Scott Seaman; step-daughter, Sharon Wood; granddaughter, Heidi Arnold and her fianc, Ben LaDrew; grandson, Jonathan Arnold; nephew, Jimmy (Sandy) Seaman; niece, Pearl (Chuck) Duncan; several adoring grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members. He will be dearly missed by each and every one of them.

Doug was preceded in death by his brother, Howard Seaman and his step-son, Douglas "Skippy" Maines.

Family will greet friends from 4:00PM - 5:00PM on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Davis - Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne, FL with a Celebration of Doug's Life to follow at 5:00PM.
