MSgt. Douglas M. Allen, USAF (Ret.) 66, was born in Hartford, CT on August 10, 1948 and passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2014 in the presence of his beloved family. He leaves memories to be cherished by his wife, Linda; son, Matthew; grandchildren, Adien and Maddox; as well as his canine companion, Brady. Doug enlisted into the Air Force in 1968 and retired after 22 years of dedication. Following his honorable service, he worked as an Air Traffic Controller for PAFB. Doug has been a longtime resident of Brevard County where he was a proud member of ABATE. He will be remembered as motorcycle enthusiast that truly appreciated helping others. Family will greet friends from 2p.m. to 3p.m. on Saturday, December 13th at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne; following with a Celebration of Doug's Life at 3p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Doug to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-9950.
