Donald G. Nickerson, 64, departed this life on Saturday, January 28, 2012. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on February 1, 1947, Donald was the child of the late Philip E. Nickerson and Rosamond McKenna. He honorably served our great nation during the Vietnam War in the Unites States Army as a combat soldier.

He is survived by his loving children, Tracy VanHo, Tina Nickerson and Brian Nickerson; two brothers, James and Nick Nickerson; 3 adoring grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Donald was a member of the VFW Post 4643 and the American Legion Post 200. Donald was a loving brother, father and grandfather. He will be truly missed.

Family will receive friends from 10 AM to 11 AM on February 6, 2012 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Indialantic and a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM. Interment with full military honors will take place in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
