Major Donald L. Morin USAF (Ret.), born January 3, 1930 to Emile F. and Hazel (Cottingim) Morin in Aurora, Illinois and passed away October 21, 2015 at Holmes Regional Medical Center.
Graduated East Aurora High School class of 1948, spent a year and a half in the US Merchant Marine Academy and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force November of 1950. He served as an Airborne Radar Maintenance Instructor in a B-50 Mobile Training Unit and then volunteered for Pilot Training. Don served a total of 18 years before retiring in September 1968 to Palm Bay Florida. He graduated from Florida Institute of Technology on September 4, 1971 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science.
He is survived by his wife, Ileta Joyce (Steele) Morin, and 4 sons, Kenneth D., Emile R., David S. (Paula), and Stephen K., 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile F. Morin, Hazel Morin; sister, Frances Y. (Tony) Petric; brother, Emile F. (Linda) Morin, Jr.; grandson, Stephen C. Morin and oldest son, Kenneth D. Morin.
Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park his birthplace and hometown Aurora, Illinois from the Healy Chapel in Aurora, Illinois.
